Hola

My name is Ana Georgina, but everyone calls me Yoya. I grew up in Mexico City, a vibrant and colorful place that inspires creativity at every turn. My passion for photography began in my childhood, surrounded by my grandfather’s award-winning photographs and spending countless hours experimenting with his old cameras.

At 18, I pursued my passion further by enrolling in the School of Arts and Spectacles in Madrid, where I majored in photography. I also completed degrees in Communications and Interior Design, expanding my creative horizons. In addition to photography, I am passionate about hiking and love getting lost in historical novels. Reading has allowed me to understand the world and different perspectives through the eyes of writers, providing comfort and companionship during difficult times. Another one of my passions is music, particularly rock. During my youth, I had an obsession with The Doors and Pearl Jam.

One of the things I enjoy most about my work is the opportunity to travel around the world, experiencing different cultures and their traditions. This global perspective enriches my approach and inspires my creativity.

In 2012, a turning point came when a client reached out to me at the last minute because the photographer originally hired by his cousin was unable to attend the wedding. Although I had never photographed a wedding before, I decided to step in and help as much as I could. That experience ignited my love for wedding photography and inspired me to establish AGBA Weddings.

Five years ago, we expanded our team with Ana Paola, whose exceptional eye and dedication have been instrumental in our growth. Together, we have documented over 500 weddings, including events across Europe and around the world, capturing the unique love stories of couples. Each couple is incredibly special to me because they open the door to their personal stories and intimacy. Many of them have become friends, and we have been fortunate to document weddings for several of their family members. AGBA Weddings has had the honor of collaborating with high-profile magazines such as Vogue, Hola, People, and Quien. Our work has also been featured on prominent wedding photography blogs like The Wed and Junebug, with covers on Hola and People.

In addition to weddings, I have explored architectural photography, documenting WeWork's Latin American offices in Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru, as well as capturing architectural images for Cartier. I also had the privilege of working on campaigns for Leret Leret, which took me to Mongolia to document the process of creating their cashmere sweaters. Additionally, I worked on a campaign for the bridal wear brand Soucy in Madrid. This diverse experience enriches our approach, bringing a unique perspective to every project.

I have a deep love for Mexican culture and feel incredibly fortunate to be Mexican. Our view of life is deeply connected to family unity, our food, our ancestors, and our history. These values shape my life and work.

We genuinely look forward to the opportunity to meet you soon.

My name is Ana Paola. I was born in the beautiful and vibrant Mexico City, a place filled with creativity, culture, and rich history that inspires me every day. I come from a family of five sisters, and we grew up dreaming about our weddings, which has deeply influenced my love for capturing those special moments. My mother’s family is Italian, which has made me feel connected to different cultures from a young age. I’ve also had the opportunity to travel to many places, which is my second passion after photography, and live in other countries, broadening my perspective and fueling my creativity.

I studied marketing and advertising at Universidad Centro, and although my journey into photography began in my early teens, it wasn’t until university, during a photography class, that I realized this was the path I wanted to dedicate my life to. I later pursued further education with a diploma at Berkeley and a master’s degree in digital strategy and social media from IED Madrid. These experiences enhanced my ability to connect creativity with strategic vision.

Five years ago, I was fortunate enough to start working at AGBA Weddings, an established company in the world of wedding photography. From the very first day, I knew I had found my home. Under the guidance of Ana Georgina, who has over 10 years of experience, I learned every detail of the wedding photography process. Together, with dedication and effort, we have achieved remarkable growth in the company, creating something truly special.

Weddings allow me to immerse myself in a 12-hour meditation, documenting real-life moments as they unfold. The joy, love, and emotion that flow during such a significant event captivate me and inspire my work. I started by capturing moments with family and friends, and those experiences solidified my love for storytelling through images.

My sensitivity to the world around me has always influenced the way I see and feel things, allowing me to create photographs filled with emotion and authenticity. Photography has given me a unique way to connect with life’s fleeting moments. It’s more than just a job—it’s a purpose. I aim to create images that transcend time, evoking the joy, emotions, and connections that make each wedding day special.

Each wedding I document holds a special place in my heart, and I hope to have the opportunity to be part of your story soon.
